RETIA, a.s. woes NATOs members armed forces at Future Soldier 2008
16-18 October 2008
RETIA's new technologies were available to several NATO member states' armies and partners at the exhibition and conference Future Soldier 2008 in Prague.
How far RETIA can go with their military developments? The Czech Armed Forces, one of the most valuable customers for RETIA, a.s. throughout this year have witness various technological achievements which have been tailored made for them. Some NATO's armies got acquainted with such creations from RETIA, a.s. for example, the weapon terminal ReWET, a versatile and efficient interface between short range AD weapon systems and Command Control Centers. Another significant military-device accomplishment from RETIA refers to ReTOB, which is an air observer device to detect low-range flying targets out of the radar coverage. After the target is accurate ReTOB sends the exact coordinate in 3D to commands and control post in order to add the missing objects into the radar.
Both devices are fully tested by the Czech Military Forces however there will be a tool that promises to save lives. The research and development team from RETIA, a.s. unveiled their latest development based on UWB technologies to The Czech Military Police. ReTWis will be the name of this tool designed to search living beings through obstacles. The immediate scenario was directed to police institutions mainly counter-terrorist Special Forces allowing them to see how many people are behind walls before entering where criminals are. The second scenario covers all rescue teams as to search survivors between rubbles and debris. The official release of ReTWis is scheduled in a month's time taking place at the most important military exhibition at Milipol 2008 Doha-Qatar.
